Short version
morements collects nothing. There is no account, no server operated by us, no analytics, no tracking and no advertising. Your entries stay on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud database.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you enter — text, voice recordings, transcripts, photos, videos, mood, timestamp and location — is stored locally on your device.
If you are signed in to iCloud, this data also syncs to the private database of your personal iCloud account. That transfer happens between your device and Apple; we have no access to it and it is subject to Apple's privacy policy. Without an iCloud account the app works fully offline.
Permissions
| Permission | What it is used for | If you deny it |
|---|---|---|
| Microphone | recording voice notes | no voice notes, everything else works |
| Speech recognition | on-device transcription of your recordings | recordings are kept without a transcript |
| Location (while in use) | noting where an entry was made | entries are saved without a location |
| Camera / photo library | attaching photos and video | no media attachments |
| Notifications | the reminders you schedule yourself in Settings | no reminders |
Speech recognition runs on the device. Recordings are not sent to Apple or to us for transcription.
The webhook — please read this part
The app offers an optional feature that sends each new entry as JSON to an internet address you enter yourself.
- It is switched off by default.
- It only ever sends to the address you have configured, over HTTPS.
- We neither receive nor see this data. We do not operate the destination.
- Once you enable this feature, the operator of the destination server — usually you — is responsible for that data under data protection law.
- You can switch it off at any time. Doing so stops all further deliveries.
Export
You can export your complete journal as a ZIP file containing a documented JSON file and all media. The export is created on your device and goes wherever you send it.
Deletion
Deleting an entry moves it to a trash and removes it permanently after 30 days, including on your other devices via iCloud. Deleting the app removes all local data; data in your iCloud account is removed via iOS settings under iCloud → Manage Storage.
Deletions are local. They are not sent to a configured webhook — data already delivered there is beyond the app's reach and yours to remove at the destination.
Children
The app has no social features, no chat and no user-generated public content. Rated 4+.
This website
This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools and loads nothing from third parties: fonts, images and style sheets are served from the same server. There are no forms. One small script runs the animations on the start page; it loads nothing, sends nothing and stores nothing.
When a page is requested, the web server processes the access data that is technically necessary: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the amount of data transferred, the status code and the browser and operating system identifier. This data is stored in server log files to keep the website running and secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is not combined with other data.
If you send us an email, we process what you tell us in order to reply (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

Because the app sends us nothing, there is no personal data of yours we could disclose, correct or delete on request. Your rights under the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and complaint to a supervisory authority) remain unaffected.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be noted in the app's release notes.
